Two titans of football meet in the Champions League on Tuesday and you can be paid out if the team you back opens the scoring – even if they don’t win
Manchester United welcome Paris Saint-Germain to Old Trafford in the Champions League last 16 with both sides looking to claim a vital victory in the first leg.
Ahead of this clash, all new and existing William Hill customers can get paid out as a winner if the team you back to win in 90 minutes scores first, up to £50 in cash. T&Cs apply.
The best part is that your team does not have to win for you to get paid out. If, for instance, United score first but go on to lose the match, you will still walk away with winnings from the original bet.
Golden Goal winnings will be paid as Cash, up to a maximum of £50 winnings (plus your stake, or proportion of stake, that qualified towards the winnings) per customer, per match.
There’s no need to opt in to this promotion but only the first single bet on the pre-match 1X2 market will count so it’s well worth keeping in mind if you want to maximise the potential returns.
Having won 10 of their last 11 games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Red Devils are 13/10 (2.30) with William Hill to take the advantage back to the French capital.
PSG, meanwhile, are out at 2/1 (3.0) with Neymar and Edinson Cavani set to miss out, but still boast exceptional firepower in France superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Full back Thomas Meunier, who scored on PSG’s last trip to England last September when they lost 3-2 at Liverpool, is also out for the Ligue 1 champions, although Marco Verratti should play.
The resurgence of United under Solskjaer as well as poor form of PSG, alongside those injuries, has seen the odds completely flip from the initial offerings in December when the draw was made.
Indeed, the Red Devils have not lost since the draw was made and have scored two or more goals in nine of their last 11 matches, striking 13 times in their last five games at Old Trafford.
Only once in their last 11 Premier League fixtures have United not scored first, although PSG have also netted the first goal in 14 of their last 15 Ligue 1 clashes.
