Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has been forced to withdraw from the Belgian national team due to injury.
The 25-year-old underwent scans on Tuesday which have revealed the extent of the damage.
Lukaku has been struggling with a foot injury since United’s remarkable comeback against Paris Saint-Germain two weeks ago.
Extent of Lukaku’s injury revealed
After missing the Red Devils’ FA Cup defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers, there have been concerns over the striker’s injury.
However, a scan on his foot has revealed that Lukaku should only miss a week of action before returning, according to the Mirror.
The results hand United a huge boost with the player enjoying a rich vein of form over recent weeks.
Lukaku has netted five goals in his last four appearances which ended a run of eight games without a goal.
Belgium will be disappointed to be losing the United forward as they face Euro 2020 qualifiers against Russia and Cyprus.

Netting twice against Crystal Palace, Southampton and PSG, Lukaku has shown signs of getting back to his best.
Especially in Paris, the 25-year-old played a key role for United and his terrified Thomas Tuchel’s back-line.
Following a tough spell under Jose Mourinho, now under Ole Gunnar Solskjær, he looks to be showing real improvement.
