England vs Czech Republic
England take on the Czech Republic on Friday night at Wembley.
This is Three Lions’ opening match of the Euro 2020 qualifiers.
Gareth Southgate’s side will be back in action next Monday when they head to Montenegro.
Man United’s Marcus Rashford injured since Liverpool
There are doubts whether Man United striker Marcus Rashford will be fit for the England game against the Czechs.
As confirmed in the Times on Wednesday, Rashford has been nursing an injury since the Liverpool match.
Liverpool held United to a 0-0 draw in the league.
Rashford was subbed out the Liverpool game with a knock. However the striker has featured regularly for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since.
But at what cost? The Times report:
The Manchester United striker has been troubled by the issue since the goalless draw with Liverpool on February 24 and has since been playing through the pain for United.
Rashford sat out yesterday’s session at St George’s Park, the national football centre, and must prove his fitness before the game at Wembley on Friday.
Rashford has scored 9 goals and chipped in with 6 assists in 26 Premier League matches for United.
The 21-year-old has also scored twice in the Champions League.
England’s possible attack vs Czech Republic
If Rashford fails to make it for the match against the Czechs, Southgate has alternative attacking options.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson both offer central striking options.
While on the wings, England have the likes of Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi in the squad too.
