Liverpool vs Man City
As things stand, Liverpool are top of the Premier League table.
However, they are just two points above 2nd place Man City who have a game in hand.
The Reds do have a tighter defence than City but Pep Guardiola’s side are the highest scorers in the league with 79 goals scored in 30 games.
When the international break is over Man City will have a relatively easy game away to relegation bound, Fulham.
Liverpool, on the other hand, will face a much tougher test in Tottenham.
Robertson speaks out
With just seven game weeks left, Liverpool being just a point behind City, should they win their game in hand, seems pretty impressive given the quality of the Citizens.
However, earlier in the season, Liverpool had a seven-point lead at the top of the table, which they have since blown, largely due to drawing four out of six earlier this year.
Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson has since spoken out about their dip in form and insists they are full of confidence heading into the back end of the season:
“People have been quite quick to jump on us and say we’ve been going through a blip at Liverpool and now all of a sudden we’ve come through that.
“It’s part and parcel of football. We had a couple of draws, they were not the worst results.
“We’ve had a fantastic season and it’s coming to the bit where we have to step up again and get the trophies that we are going for.
“The lads are full of confidence at Liverpool.” As quoted by Sky Sports News.
