Mohamed Salah on his way out of Anfield?
Mohamed Salah has reportedly asked Liverpool officials for a transfer away from Anfield in the summer after a ‘strong discussion’ with Jurgen Klopp.
Salah has been brilliant again for Liverpool this season.
While he started the season slowly, Salah has hit his lofty standards in recent weeks.
The Egyptian has now scored 22 goals and assisted 10 during the current season.
As a result of his brilliant performances over the past two seasons, Salah has been linked with a move away in the past.
Following his performances in the last campaign, Real Madrid were reported to be interested in Salah.
However, no move came to fruition and Salah continued to impress with Liverpool.
Now, one report from Spain has bizarrely suggested Salah has asked Liverpool to let him leave in the summer transfer window.
Fall out with Jurgen Klopp?
That report originates from AS, who claim that ‘the Egyptian forward has asked the leaders of the English club to transfer him at the end of this season.’
Their report then goes on to explain the reason why Salah wants to leave.
According to AS, ‘the reason why Salah wants to leave Liverpool is a strong discussion he has had for some time with coach Jurgen Klopp’.
As a result of that ‘discussion’, Salah wanted to submit an official transfer request.
Though, he was convinced otherwise by the Liverpool management.
Now, ‘in return, they [the Liverpool management] have committed to facilitate their transfer if at the end of the season they keep their idea of leaving Anfield.’
Salah’s agent responds
Safe to say, everyone was always going to be sceptical of a report like this.
Now, it looks like everyone was right to be.
Salah’s agent responded to the reports on social media not too long after.
He wasn’t impressed, to put it lightly.
Talking out of their AS again I see.
